Position Overview:
As a Software Developer at this firm, you will be working on challenging problems that span the entire stack; from high performance distributed backend servers to rich, interactive, frontend web applications.We are seeking a strong engineer/developer who can design and build our visual data exploration application used to analyze and understand portfolio performance in research and client-facing settings. This person will be responsible for the development and deployment of a modern, interactive and analytical browser- based application using JavaScript, D3(D3.js) and Python. This is a hands on, full-stack developer role with lots of growth and learning opportunities. The Software Developer will be part of our Portfolio Analytics team. Investment knowledge is not required, but the desire to learn and take an interest in the data is.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop softwaresystemsforsophisticated web basedanalyticalandvisualizationapplicationsusing JavaScriptand Python.Theseapplications will beusedtoarticulateinvestmentperformance.
- Increase efficiency of handling largedatasets.
- Design and developautomatedworkflowapplications.
- Must love the data as much as the visualation of the data
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree(with a strongacademicrecord) in a quantitativefieldsuchmathematics,computerscience,statistics,physics,engineering,orsimilardisciplineisrequired.
- 3+ years of software development
1+ years of experience using JavaScript.
- Ability toworkindependently and thrive in a fast-paced environmentwhilebeingpart of a collaborativeteam.
- Demonstrateknowledge of statisticalconcepts and theability to work with largedatasets.
- Strong analyticand creativeproblem-solvingskills.
- Passion for data visualization.
