BUSINESS LITIGATION ASSOCIATE

Location: Tampa, FL or Miami, FL

Our client, an esteemed national law firm ranked in the AmLaw 200, is seeking a highly capable and driven Associate Lawyer with 3-5 years of experience to join their esteemed Business Litigation team in either Tampa or Miami, Florida.

Candidate Profile:

  • Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from a reputable law school with a strong academic track record.
  • Active license to practice law from the Florida bar is a must.
  • Must have at least 3 to 5 years of substantial experience in business litigation, with a proven ability to handle hearings independently and a strong presence in the courtroom.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills are necessary, and preference will be given to candidates with experience serving on Law Review or Clerkship (Federal, Florida state, or appellate).
  • Proficiency in managing all aspects of litigation, including deposition handling, motion arguments in state and federal courts, working with expert witnesses, and trial preparation.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment that prioritizes client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently handle all facets of business litigation cases, including case preparation, trial strategies, and courtroom representation.
  • Compose and review crucial legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and other filings essential to litigation.
  • Offer strategic counsel and oversee intricate business litigation matters, particularly within medical malpractice and professional liability cases.
  • Work closely with clients, develop case strategies, and engage in high-level litigation pursuits.
