A well renowned International partner for large Airlines to optimise their Cargo, Sales and Marketing objectives.

Role

The individual will oversee and will be hands-on in all financial and management accounting processes, timely and correct closings, financial reporting, financial data interfaces and standard or ad-hoc analysis of finance (related) data. The candidate has a good understanding of Management Accounting and Business analytics and is able to work independently. Next to Finance, the individual will back up the HR function if and when needed and the individual will be prime on IT and legal related matters.

The duties listed underneath are indicative and may vary depending on the evolution of the organization, prevailing priorities etc.

1) Guide and oversee the Financial Accounting function observing the time lines

and cut off dates to be defined, complying with local statutory accounting

regulations and company processes and requirements.

2) Together with Head Accounting be responsible for the accounting of the nonDutch entities, Belgium, UAE, Taiwan and 2 dormant companies.

3) Define and implement policies and procedures for the Finance Department

4) Support the commercial organization 'observing best practice', yet always

maintaining financial integrity.

5) Be pro-active on upcoming issues, like but not limited to tax, compliance,

cash flow and bank balances, internal (accounting) procedures, internal

control, payroll, IT and ad-hoc issues.

6) Reporting and consolidations to be available on the deadlines to be agreed

7) Independently being able to provide basic Financial analysis, understand

Treasury and Tax.

8) Initiate and coordinate IT (related) issues in cooperation with service provider

9) Initiate and coordinate (international) legal issues in cooperation with service

providers

10) Back up duties of Head of Accounting and back up HR duties, even in day to

day accounting if that would be required. Familiar with routine processes like

but not limited to VAT, payroll, monthly closing.

Candidate

  • Degree in accounting or economics (preferably HBO level)
  • 5-7 years experience in a multinational, bilingual, environment
  • experience with Exact accounting, reporting software and familiar with basic



Management Accounting, proficient in Excel and Powerpoint

  • familiar with Belgium accounting rules would be advantageous
  • experience in managing staff
  • experience and affinity with other back offices functions; HR, legal and IT. Basic



knowledge of Dutch labor law.
