Manager of Applications Development

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Applications Development in the Credit Union industry based in New York. This role involves leading the team for member services applications, overseeing the selection, implementation, and installation of software applications, and delivering guidance on applications and related services.
Responsibilities
• Lead the team for schedules and projects assigned to member services applications.
• Hire, train, discipline, evaluate and develop members of the application services team.
• Oversee and aid with the selection, implementation, and installation of software applications.
• Identify and implement industry best practices for application development, maintenance, and support.
• Provide guidance and consultation on applications and related services to other departments.
• Monitor application performance metrics and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and user satisfaction.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement and create corrective measures.
• Coordinate the resources needed to meet client and/or business objectives related to software applications.
• Oversee staff in troubleshooting application problems and monitor results.
• Maintain established relationships with vendors/suppliers through effective communication and timely feedback.
• Work to remove, resolve, and mitigate barriers and risks that slow or prevent the advancement and enhancement of applications.
• Assess hardware/software systems, applications, and processes to facilitate a larger information systems strategy and ensure system compatibilities.
• Produce and authenticate Information Technology applications business continuity plans.
• Develop and adhere to the departmental budget.
• Ensure compliance with applicable company, state, and federal laws, statutes, and regulations.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in the role of Manager of Applications Development or similar
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Cloud Technologies
• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Database Management
• Familiarity with EO/IR systems
• Expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Proficiency in AB Testing and Application Development
• Experience with Deployments, Design, and Engineering
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of industry best practices and trends
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
