Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing tax-related matters for our clients, ensuring compliance with current tax regulations and identifying opportunities for tax optimization. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will work closely with our clients and internal teams to provide strategic tax planning and advisory services.

Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and other entities within the media, entertainment, and high net worth sectors.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, including international tax considerations, to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice to clients.

Tax Planning and Advisory:

  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement effective tax planning strategies for partnerships, trusts, and international entities to minimize liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
  • Provide guidance on complex tax issues related to cross-border transactions, credits, deductions, and other relevant matters.

Client Interaction:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on tax-related matters, including partnerships, trusts, and international tax implications.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner to clients with varying levels of financial expertise.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other team members, including junior accountants and partners, to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to client service.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff members.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough research on tax issues and developments, including those related to partnerships, trusts, and international tax, providing insights and recommendations to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial data and reports to identify potential tax-saving opportunities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on media, entertainment, high net worth clients, partnerships, trusts, and international tax.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as international tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
