Establish and drive procurement of material and services in alignment with business Leadership for your assigned commodity / category and/or region as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. You will have global/regional Responsibility for driving competitive commodity and category supply strategies to achieve lowest Total Cost, reduced Working capital via Negotiation planning and execution, High Growth Region Sourcing, Value Engineering and Sole/ Single Source elimination. You will manage Supplier Performance to support your commodity/category and/or region and ensure supply continuity. You will be managing several projects in a dynamic global environment. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Export /Import regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Strategic Sourcing Principal and member of the Customer Change Control Team (CCCT), you will be responsible for owning and driving the process for Change Orders from Change Order Identification to Change Order Booking. You will be supporting all the stakeholders of the Change Order (Project Manager, Legal, Tendering, Costing, Engineering, and Sales as necessary).

Your role will be including but not limited to the following: 

  • Technical Leader for the Customer Change Control Team ensuring:
    • Clear technical understanding of Customer Request
    • Dissemination of request to cross functional engineering teams including estimating, project & application groups.
    • Thought provoking questions to create detailed scopes of work for proposals.
  • Facilitator of information collection and organization of technical details for customer change orders. Including:
    • Description of Operation, Drawing Packages, Equipment Lists, etc.
    • Involvement in engineering design reviews to monitor changes of scope from original contract and initiate appropriate change orders.
    • Communicate technical information with internal teams handling Subcontractors, External Suppliers, Buyouts & Installation.
    • Negotiating with internal customers (Project, Program, Business Management) the validity of a Change Order and its contractual grounds.
    • Proposal management for technical sections of change orders.
    • Data report outs on change orders.
    • Become fluent in customer standards & specifications. Become someone the project team comes to for knowledge of the standards.
    • Host meetings with internal & external stakeholders, holding teams to an agenda.
    • Identify opportunities on projects, work on converting threats and risks into customer funded change orders.
    • Claim and Cost avoidance.
    • Recommend appropriate actions to protect Honeywell’s interest and/or improve project performance.
    • Ensure compliance with prime contract terms and conditions.
    • This position allows a hybrid schedule with three days working onsite and two days remote each week.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 3-5 years of technical practice with material handling equipment. We are looking to hire someone who can jump in day one and be comfortable with the equipment within our proposals.
    • 2-3 years of engineering preferred
  • Site time with Case Handling Conveyor, Palletizers, Sortation, etc.
  • Ability to review and interpret mechanical and electrical conveyor drawings
  • Ability to deal with challenge, negotiations and providing solutions out of the box.
  • Involvement in collaborations with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to solve minor and complex system design, considering customer constraints.
  • Executive Presence; be able to speak and present in front of executives.

  • Master’s Degree
