Head of Production and Process Technology - English Speaking

Our Client is an innovative and leading company in the medical technology industry located in Ettlingen, Germany, offers a position of Head of Production and Process Technology.

In this role, you will be managing the production and process technology team and the equipment and device construction with a total of 7 colleagues (masters, technicians, and engineers).

Key responsibilities:

  • Technological supervision of the production areas
  • Identifying and executing optimization projects
  • Conception and coordination of topics such as automation / information technology / digitization
  • On-schedule, cost-effective and high-quality planning and execution of in-house engineering projects within the scope of capacity expansions, optimization of existing production facilities and associated infrastructure, replacement investments and new construction of facilities
  • Evaluation of suitable equipment and suppliers as well as preparation of the technical order documents and coordination with the purchasing department
  • Role as a coach in all matters relating to GMP issues and in qualification and validation projects (EU GMP / FDA guidelines)
  • Technical support for the detailed and implementation planning of the projects on the basis of the requirements in compliance with the legal regulations and the concerns of environmental protection, safety, existing infrastructure and the systems affected by the projects
  • System tests, commissioning and handover of the systems to the internal clients including post-calculation, final report and creation of the system documentation for the users

Requirements:

  • A completed technical degree or equivalent training
  • Team management experience
  • At least 5 years of specific professional experience in a heavily regulated industry (medical technology, pharmaceuticals or similar)
  • Experience in the optimization and digitization of processes and systems in manufacturing
  • Reliable implementation experience in project management and in the introduction of complex change processes and software solutions
  • Training as Six Sigma / Lean Green or Black Belt
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
