Founded in 1991, the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) develops and provides the key supercomputing capabilities required to solve important problems for science and/or society. The centre is operated by ETH Zürich and is located in Lugano with additional offices in Zurich.
Job description
The IAM Engineer position, who is part of our small IAM team, offers a wide range of technical challenges at the forefront of technology development. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining and operating the various services composing our IAM infrastructure. The responsibilities encompass the following aspects:
- Manage our IAM infrastructure and organise the day-to-day operations.
- Configure IAMcomponents and their services, including workflows, roles and policies.
- Support engineering staff in integrating their work with IAM services.
- Provide expertise for technical assessments, solution designs and implementation projects, including those involving external partners.
- Stay on top of industry trends by participating in workshop and conferences on relevant topics.
- Participate or lead exploratory projects, thus design and implement Proof Of Concepts and blueprints.
- Actively contribute to develop IAM architecture to support the overall Centre strategy.
Your profile
Expected qualifications:
- BSc in Computer Science (or related fields), multiple years of experience with IAM activities.
- Good understanding of IAM standards such as OAuth2, SAML, OpenID, LDAP.
- Hands-on experience operating and configuring products such as KeyCloak or similar.
- Hands-on experience operating and configuring API Gateways with Kong, WS02 API Manager or similar.
- Hands-on experience operating services (e.g. KeyCloak, LDAP) through Linux based environments.
- Familiarity with Linux environment and with programming (es. Python).
