Director of Marketing - CHS (Indianapolis)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Cornerstone Health Solutions (CHS) is a fast-growing, health system-based service provider. We help other health systems build, develop, and operate their own specialty pharmacy program aimed at providing exceptional patient care and outcomes while delivering significant financial results.
Our partnership model assists with all aspects of specialty pharmacy program development (including embedding pharmacy resources directly within clinics), leveraging our deep expertise acquired from directly operating within an academic health system and health plan.
CHS is seeking a proven, innovative leader to join our team as the Director of Marketing.The Director of Marketing will develop, lead and execute marketing strategies and related initiatives that build brand perception and reputation among the potential client base and the industry.
The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing, leading and executing marketing strategy to generate demand for CHS' services. This role manages a small team of professionals and works closely with other colleagues within CHS. Ultimately, the Director of Marketing will be required to have an in-depth knowledge of the CHS landscape, target client partners and personas, the services portfolio and competitive positioning along with expertise across the industry with partners, associations, conferences and events.
Importantly, this position calls for special aptitudes and skills that go beyond conventional marketing roles. The successful candidate should be highly experienced in healthcare marketing, understand the positioning of high value outsourced and managed services, be capable of creative, out-of-the-box thinking, be able to operate at both the strategic and the tactical hands-on levels, be personally adaptable and be able to initiate and sustain appropriate change activities.
You will prioritize your team's efforts, guiding them to pursue the most valuable initiatives that will drive meaningful improvements to the development and evolution of our brand, including strategies for elevating brand awareness, thought leadership and corporate communications. You and your team will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with stakeholders across CHS. Together, you will bring an innovative approach to help us strengthen CHS' reputation and market awareness as we continue to expand our client base.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop the high-level marketing and channel strategy
  • Develop a marketing communications plan and investment strategy that support the business goals of CHS
  • Plan, direct and coordinate execution of marketing efforts across all appropriate paid, owned and earned mediums
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination of Marketing & Sales efforts as well as developing and reporting on goals, supporting sales events, and advising on messaging to ensure consistency
  • Develop compelling and informative content for a variety of marketing uses, including directing the efforts of web and social media presence for relevant program initiatives, as well as translation of clients' experience into engaging and accessible stories for the prospective audience(s)
  • Partner with design staff and contract professionals to produce high-quality creative deliverables, on-time and on-budget
  • Develop a set of key metrics for communications, across all paid, owned, earned mediums; tracking and providing analysis to understand and influence CHS' reputation
  • Research demand for our products and services, partner with business development to conduct competitor research and communicate key research data to the organization
  • Develop and manage budgets and budget requests, including expenditures, for all marketing
  • Manage a small team of marketing-related support staff, interns and/or contractors
  • Recruit, hire, coach and up-level the Marketing team
  • Acquire, retain and grow talent by identifying individual strengths and weaknesses and facilitating opportunities that will stretch your team members

    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    EDUCATION:
    Bachelor's degree required in business journalism, marketing, communications or another relevant field.
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
    While not required, the Professional Certified Marketer achievement through the American Marketing Association (AMA) or Sales and Marketing Executives International (SMEI) certification are an added bonus.
    EXPERIENCE:
    Minimum of 8 years in the Marketing field required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a leader of people in a remote working environment required. Experience across digital marketing, product marketing & design is required. Knowledge of and experience with a variety of marketing techniques and tools, including interactive marketing and effective use of social media and search engine optimization.
    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Outstanding oral and written communications skills
  • Direct experience developing and managing multi-channel lead-generation, content marketing and lead nurturing campaigns (aptitude with related marketing automation platforms, including Salesforce)
  • Demonstrated track record of success in development of client-centric value propositions and tactical implementation of marketing plans
  • Experience managing complex budgets, media strategies and advertising calendars, including familiarity with application of data analytics and implementation of modern marketing optimization and testing strategies
  • Excellent management and leadership skills with an ability to influence senior leaders and guide and mentor staff while delegating assignments as needed to meet critical deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to gain consensus among multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with others to guide projects to successful completion while staying within budget
  • Ability to serve as a primary point of contact between program leadership, staff, and external program and technology partners to translate needs into effective marketing initiatives
  • Ability to motivate people across the CHS organization - corporately and at client sites - to follow messaging and brand standards that enhance the reputation of CHS
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated business messages clearly and effectively with a flair for visual storytelling with excellent presentation and delivery skills
  • Demonstrated excellent program management skills, supervise and measure program performance, and make constant improvements
  • Experienced in leading virtual teams to achieve desired goals
  • Experience and knowledge of events, including tradeshows, conferences and client events, is an advantage
  • This position requires up to 20% travel to attend CHS-sanctioned and industry events as needed
