The Director of Compliance Reporting serves as a strategic key adviser for executive levels including the Chief Compliance Officer and VP of Compliance Operations with responsibilities related to Committee and Board level reporting. Responsibilities will include development and writing of key documents such as Compliance Vision, State of Programs, Committee Charters, Key Risk Indicators, Risk Appetite and other key performance metrics including Business Unit Compliance assessments.
The Director will be responsible for managing a team of professionals that will lead all initiatives on standardizing reporting across the Compliance Organization utilized for Management, Executive Committee members, Board of Directors and regulatory agencies reporting.
The Director will establish the data requirements and taxanomy across enterprise programs to enable data linkages to identify areas of opportunity to improve the Compliance Management System, including appropriate risk reporting.
Responsible for writing and/or updating key Program components such as Vision, State of Program, Committee Charters, Executive Overviews, town halls and key policies. Directs and drives strategic and tactical direction for reporting and presentations for multiple committees as well as the Board of Directors. Directs and manages the creation of presentations to these management and Board level committees. Drives agendas, special topics, materials and schedules.
Provides direct management of staff, leading a team that develop management committee, executive committee, governing committees and Board and Board level presentations and reports and reporting analytics. Hire, develop, coach, career plan and retain team. Ensures appropriate calibration of performance across team reporting to the position
Develops visuals and crafts clear, cohesive and strategic messages that are tailored to the committee/board audience applying strategic mindset and subject matter expertise for each element. Engages in sensitive and confidential non-public information maintaining regulatory compliance. Serves as secretary for one or more Committee(s) and oversees committee meeting minutes from team members who handle the minutes for other subcommittees. Escalates and tracks issues as appropriate.
Leads discussions and engages with senior leadership across businesses up to and including executives to drive enhanced reporting, risk appetite, KRIs, and KPIs and other responsibilities. Manages relationships and collaborates with internal business partners including executives at various levels and external regulatory agencies. Leads discussions with auditors/examiners regarding reporting and Governance matters.
Develops and maintains reporting tools/dashboard for the business. Develops training for line of business on dashboards. Drives for continuous improvement including automation of key risk indicators and performance metrics. Keeps well informed on industry reporting trends and competition while continuously improving reporting
Direct, develops and manages annual schedules including documents requiring review and approval through the various governance committee entities and includes but is not limited to Policies, Standards, Charters, Risk Assessments, State of Programs, Staffing Assessments, and other key documents.
At a minimum, here s what we need from you:
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Business, Law, Analytics or Arts.
12+ years of experience in Financial Services, Compliance, Operational Risk or related
8+ years in Strategy and Presentation Development, Reporting, Committees or related
4+ years of people management experience
In Lieu of Education:
15+ years of experience in Business, Compliance or related including people management
