In this role, you will drive mass reduction for track-focused performance models, setting target masses and ensuring subsystem convergence. You will develop and promote lightweight design proposals across departments, and lead cutting-edge lightweight technologies including new materials, processes, and structures. Based at the European R&D Center, you will bridge China and Europe to capture European trends in lightweight tech and apply them to vehicle performance improvements. The position offers impact through cross‑border collaboration and strategic optimization of vehicle architectures.

Responsibilities

Benchmark mass and lightweight tech for track-focused performance models; set mass targets and verify subsystem alignment
Develop structural optimization proposals for weight reduction and push their implementation
Collaborate across departments to propose lightweight improvements for components failing performance
Lead planning of cutting-edge lightweight technologies and preliminary research into materials, processes, and structures
Serve as a communication bridge between Europe and China, gaining insights into European lightweight tech trends

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Automotive Engineering
8+ years of lightweight technology experience with involvement in at least one new architecture performance vehicle
Proven cases promoting lightweight structural design implementation
In-depth understanding of concepts, materials, performance, processes, and new technologies affecting vehicle mass
Excellent communication, strong sense of responsibility, and keen interest in lightweight tech
Experience in structural simulation or as a performance integration manager is preferred
