In this role you will own automated UI testing for iOS and macOS, using Swift and XCUITest to ensure quality, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate with platform engineers and product teams to embed quality across development and shape testing practices that elevate the organization. Quality is central to delivering excellent user experiences across Apple platforms, and you will drive meaningful improvements with ownership and impact. You’ll work in a collaborative environment that values testing as a critical discipline and pursue continuous learning in areas like accessibility and performance testing.
Responsibilities
- own automated UI test strategy using Swift and XCUITest
- partner with platform engineers and product teams to embed quality at every stage
- shape and promote testing best practices across the organization
- contribute to reliable, high-quality iOS/macOS applications
- drive ownership and impact in quality initiatives
- influence how quality is built into products from the ground up
- collaborate with cross-functional engineers to uplift testing capabilities
- advocate for quality and contribute to test coverage, stability, and performance
Key requirements
- Experience with Xcode, Instruments, and other Apple development tools
- Strong understanding of iOS and macOS architecture, view hierarchies, and element identification
- Knowledge of test reporting tools, dashboards, and metrics for test suite health
- Familiarity with test design patterns, reliable accessibility identifier usage, and UI testing best practices
- Hands-on experience with XCUITest for automated UI testing on Apple platforms
- Proficiency in Swift and building/maintaining test automation frameworks for Apple platforms
- Experience testing native iOS/macOS apps built with UIKit, SwiftUI, and AppKit
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement of test coverage, stability, and performance
