In this role you will assess, educate, and determine program eligibility for the SCF WIC program. You will provide nutrition services and clerical support to improve customer experience and care quality. You work with customer-owners to support culturally informed nutrition guidance within a Native-focused health mission. You will help address nutrition needs at scale, contributing to wellness across the community. This is a mission-driven opportunity to impact women, infants, and children's health.
Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional needs and eligibility for SCF WIC
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to customers
- Perform clerical tasks and support service delivery for the WIC program
- Collaborate with customer-owners to improve experience and quality of care
- Support program operations and compliance within SCF policies
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Nutritional Sciences or related field
- Understanding of Alaska Native culture and needs
- Native Preference per policy (P.L. 93-638) as applicable
- Health screening and immunization compliance requirements for HCP positions
- Knowledge of WIC program concepts and nutrition education
