Apple's Localization Automation team builds tools to enable localization and delivery across Apple products at scale. In this role you will design and ship services and workflows that touch nearly every product, partnering with engineers across Apple. You will build new tools, improve platforms, and tackle integration challenges to keep experiences native and world-class in all markets. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, balancing priorities with attention to detail and ownership. A strong technical foundation, problem-solving, and experience with AI-assisted development enable you to impact global software delivery.

Responsibilities

Design and build new tools and services for localization workflows
Improve existing localization platforms and automation
Support integration of features with cross-functional teams
Tackle complex engineering challenges to scale localization at global level
Collaborate with engineers across Apple to enable new features and automation

Key requirements

Proficiency in Python and/or Ruby
Native-level proficiency in one or more foreign languages
Experience shipping high-quality products at scale
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Experience with Ruby on Rails or Django (backend frameworks)
Interest in localization, internationalisation, translation workflows, and global markets
Experience with Machine Learning, especially Large Language Models (LLMs)
Experience using generative AI tools to support software development
Strong problem-solving, ownership, and ability to balance multiple priorities
