In this role you will identify, pilot, and deploy warehouse automation technologies to improve operational efficiency and competitive differentiation. You will collaborate with operations, IT, design, and business leads to validate concepts, justify ROI, and integrate solutions across multiple sites. You will guide pilots, PoCs, and small projects while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure rapid, value-driven deployments. This position offers hands-on impact across a range of automation technologies in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

Lead minor RFPs and support major ones by selecting and validating automation technologies
Build ROI justifications to design optimal solutions
Provide input on automation solution designs for implementation and performance
Review design options for clearance, power, cost, and SLA targets
Assist in vendor reviews and RFP collateral for tech evaluations
Manage small projects and track milestones and punch lists
Support SAT testing plans and post-go-live hypercare coordination
Profile and analyze data to support system optimization initiatives
Support strategy setting and personal goal alignment with management
Validate project spend and assist budget tracking
Coordinate vendor communication and on-site support for projects
Develop pilot activities and PoCs to test concepts and feed into proposals
Assist in shutdown/transition planning and ongoing operations

Key requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field
3+ years in warehouse automation or related field
Experience with sortation, conveyors, AGVs/autonomous vehicles, AS/RS systems
Knowledge of WMS, analytics, Lean methods
CAD, slotting, MOST, simulation, data visualization tools
Ability to travel up to 30%
Strong planning, collaboration, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and in teams
Experience in financial business case analysis to support ROI
Knowledge of vendor evaluation and SOW/FSD review
Experience with SAT testing and go-live support
