As a Warranty & Indemnity Underwriter in our European team, you will assess and underwrite M&A risks for the Benelux and wider Europe, leveraging your legal background. You will work with brokers, advisors, and corporate clients on high-profile cross-border deals, shaping underwriting strategy and risk appetite. The role combines transactional insight with underwriting execution in a fast-moving, client-focused environment. This is a chance to pivot from law into specialized M&A insurance, making a direct impact on deal outcomes and market presence.

Responsibilities
- Underwrite W&I risks on M&A transactions across the Benelux region and wider Europe
- Conduct legal and financial due diligence reviews
- Assess policy coverage and risk appetite in line with underwriting guidelines
- Negotiate terms with brokers, lawyers, and clients
- Contribute to the development of underwriting strategy and market presence
Key requirements
- Qualified lawyer (3+ PQE) in the Netherlands or Belgium
- Background in corporate/M&A, private equity, or transactional law
- Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written) with excellent communication skills in English
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Commercial mindset and interest in M&A insurance
- Willingness to be based in Amsterdam (relocation from Belgium supported)
