As VP of Engineering, you will lead and scale engineering across backend, mobile, web, data, QA, and DevOps, shaping the AI-enabled future of our consumer subscription and B2B indie label products. You’ll define the multi-year tech and AI strategy, build AI-powered capabilities for artists and internal workflows, and drive fast delivery with robust systems. This hands-on, systems-thinking role emphasizes a paved-path for agentic software development and measurable productivity gains. You’ll lead a global team in a fast, culture-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Define multi-year technical and AI strategy across the product ecosystem
- Build AI-powered features such as artist insights, content recommendations, and distribution optimization
- Improve delivery speed, cycle time, and quality via AI-enabled tooling and automated testing
- Create and scale the paved path for agentic software development, including workflows and tooling
- Establish reliable AI agent foundations: architecture, memory/state management, and safety controls
- Drive architectural modernization and scale across web, mobile, and internal platforms
- Ensure systems are reliable, secure, and scalable globally
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams; own competencies and standards
- Drive SDLC with CI/CD, automated testing, and AI-assisted developer tools
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, Revenue, Marketing, and Artist Relations to translate goals into plans
Key requirements
- 12+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years leading orgs of 25+ engineers including managers and senior ICs
- Proven success as a senior engineering leader at scaled B2C, marketplace, or subscription-driven tech
- Strong systems architecture, data modeling, mobile performance, and platform-scale experience
- Experience deploying AI/ML in customer-facing features and internal workflows
- Track record of improving engineering velocity via tooling, processes, and automation
- Direct hands-on experience building agentic-development capabilities with measurable productivity gains
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to partner with product and executive leadership
