Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of the global commercial strategy for GPQSS, translating vision into country- and segment-specific sales plans
  • Own global sales ambition including revenue, margin, and market-expansion targets, guided by data-driven insights and market trends
  • Drive profitable growth through a unified go-to-market approach, improved pipeline quality, and accurate forecasting in a matrix organization
  • Strengthen Hitachi Energy’s market presence and position the portfolio as an industry benchmark through market intelligence and differentiated value propositions
  • Lead and develop global sales and marketing teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and commercial excellence
  • Align commercial strategy with product roadmap priorities and delivery capabilities with internal stakeholders (Product Mgmt, Operations, Finance, regional leaders)
  • Represent the business in high-level customer engagements, negotiations, and industry partnerships to advance leadership in grid integration and power quality
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts across sales, marketing, tendering, service, and operations to maximize win rates and pricing effectiveness
  • Oversee governance and performance metrics to ensure ethical, efficient global sales execution and continuous improvement
  • Champion market-backed insights to inform future product strategies and identify new growth opportunities

Key requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership in a multinational, matrixed industrial or technology environment
  • Proven system sales track record in the energy sector
  • Experience leading global sales organizations and delivering topline growth and margin improvements
  • Strategic mindset combined with operational discipline
  • Executive presence with strong negotiation and influence at top levels
  • Experience driving customer-centric innovation and commercial excellence across multiple geographies
  • Ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and large-scale change
