In this role you will drive new business and strengthen client relationships across France and the Benelux for Morningstar DBRS. You will work within the European Business Development team to identify opportunities, manage deal stages, and coordinate engagements while tracking market trends and client coverage. The position offers exposure to multiple sectors and a chance to influence growth strategies in a fast-paced, cross-border environment. You will collaborate with senior leaders to shape the firm’s market footprint and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Execute proactive, sales-driven outreach with clients through in-person and virtual meetings to grow market footprint
Manage key stages of the sales process including prospecting and proposal creation
Develop and maintain relationships with investors, issuers and intermediaries
Coordinate letters of engagement, NDAs, invoicing and compliance tasks
Collaborate with senior BD leadership and rating heads on banker and issuer relationships; conduct market research and provide client coverage analysis
Monitor market developments and issuance trends to identify cross-selling opportunities across asset classes and jurisdictions
Produce regular activity reports highlighting completed/missed transactions, near-term targets, and long-term opportunities
Ensure timely, accurate reporting through Salesforce CRM

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics
Fluent in French with business-level English
Minimum 7 years in financial services across debt capital markets, securitisation, corporate finance, ratings advisory, or within a credit rating agency
Strong understanding of French and Benelux markets with knowledge of Debt Capital Markets
Proven client service, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
