Experteer Overview

As VP/GM, you will lead Nexstar’s Charleston-Huntington and Bluefield-Beckley markets, overseeing TV stations and digital properties. You drive revenue growth and digital transformation across OTT, web, social, and linear platforms, while shaping a high-performing, collaborative culture. You’ll align newsroom, sales, and programming with community priorities, strengthen the stations’ market presence, and translate digital opportunities into measurable results. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to scale audience reach and business impact in a duopoly context.

Responsibilities

Oversee WOWK (CBS) and WVNS (CBS/Fox) and their digital assets, including associated websites and apps, in Charleston-Huntington and Bluefield-Beckley
Drive revenue via advanced digital advertising solutions, new business development, and innovative sales strategies
Lead digital sales, broadcast sales, content, and news teams to deliver growth across OTT, web, social, and linear platforms
Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture focused on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
Build strong relationships with employees, community leaders, and key clients
Provide leadership experience with a preference for managing a duopoly operation

Key requirements

At least five years of senior management experience
Proven ability to lead high-performing digital sales, broadcast sales, content, and news teams
Experience developing and scaling local content across OTT, web, social, and linear platforms
Ability to collaborate across departments and translate digital opportunities into measurable business results
Experience managing or overseeing a duopoly operation (preferred)
