As a Unified Communication Performance Analyst, you will deploy and manage SL1/VOSS to monitor and optimize UC systems. You will serve as the first line of defense for performance, handling troubleshooting and ensuring reliability across SfB, Teams, Cisco CMS, Cisco Phones, and VTC. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate monitoring tools and drive system improvements. Your work supports mission-critical communications by maintaining high availability and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment and configuration of the SL1/VOSS monitoring tool across UC platforms (SfB, Teams, Cisco CMS, Cisco Phones, VTS)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SL1/VOSS integrates with existing infrastructure
  • Monitor UC system performance and availability; analyze data to meet performance standards
  • Proactively identify and address performance or routing issues affecting communications
  • Troubleshoot issues as first line of defense; escalate as needed
  • Evolve SL1/VOSS capabilities and stay updated with new features
  • Document configurations, monitoring parameters, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Generate performance reports and provide insights to stakeholders
  • Provide guidance to team members on SL1/VOSS usage and best practices
  • Participate in regular stakeholder meetings to review performance and recommend improvements

Key requirements

  • 5+ years in systems engineering or infrastructure support, preferably UC or networking
  • Strong UC architecture knowledge (VoIP, video, real-time collaboration)
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and optimization techniques
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and cloud environments
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, DNS, DHCP, QoS) and use of networking tools (Wireshark)
  • Proven experience with UC platforms (Teams, Skype for Business, Cisco CMS, Cisco Phones, VTC)
  • + experience with SL1/VOSS or similar monitoring tools
