As Senior Executive Compensation Advisor, you will guide executives and advisors on complex compensation and benefits strategies for C-suite clients. You will shape program design, benchmarking, and regulatory alignment, collaborating across Private Bank teams to scale advisory capabilities. You’ll contribute to the firm’s thought leadership with research, white papers, and client communications, while partnering with legal, tax, HR, and investment specialists. This role offers visibility into high-impact compensation solutions within a leading private bank, with opportunities to influence market practices and client outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Advise C-suite clients and their advisors on equity-based and deferred compensation, and incentive plan design
  • Design and optimize executive compensation programs with benchmarking and regulatory alignment
  • Scale compensation advice by developing tools and frameworks for Private Bank advisors
  • Present insights at internal and external forums to share best practices
  • Collaborate with Private Bank training to educate advisors on compensation concepts and regulations
  • Produce thought leadership content and client communications on compensation trends
  • Research emerging regulatory developments affecting compensation and benefits for public and private companies
  • Coordinate with partners across the Private Bank and firm (legal, tax, HR, investment) to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Serve as a technical resource on sections like 409A, 280G, SEC disclosures and related regulations

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years in executive compensation and benefits, with C-suite experience preferred
  • Deep knowledge of compensation structures, equity and incentive plans, and related regulations
  • Strong research and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player; resilient under pressure
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills for strategic advisory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to travel 20–30%
  • Experience with law, accounting, or financial services firms and private company compensation structures preferred
