In this role you will provide expert counsel across estate planning, trust administration, probate, and related tax matters within a California practice. You will support clients in complex matters, from litigation to compliance, while delivering tailored strategies that align with fiduciary requirements. This position emphasizes sensitive elder law handling, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and staying current with evolving estate and tax law. You will work closely with clients and other professionals to translate legal challenges into practical, protective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert counsel in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters
- Represent clients in trust, estate, and conservatorship litigation
- Handle elder law cases with professionalism and sensitivity
- Advise clients on taxation, including estate and fiduciary tax strategies
- Manage real estate litigation matters
- Draft and review documents such as wills, trusts, and probate filings
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal standards and regulations
- Advocate for clients in civil litigation with strong courtroom representation
- Collaborate with clients to develop customized legal strategies
- Stay updated on developments in estate and tax law
Key requirements
- Licensed attorney in the State of California
- Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law (preferred)
- Certified Specialist in Taxation (highly desirable)
- Extensive experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate litigation
- Strong knowledge of fiduciary, trust, and estate tax laws
- Proficiency in conservatorships and elder law matters
- Familiarity with real estate and civil litigation processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
