In this role you will join a top-tier AmLaw firm’s Trademark, Copyright & Media Practice, focusing on high-profile IP disputes and counseling. You will work within a collaborative, hybrid environment across California offices to support complex litigation and enforcement strategies for media, entertainment, and technology clients. You’ll engage in trial work, counseling, and portfolio management, shaping litigation strategy and cross-functional collaboration. This is an opportunity for growth toward partnership track or a non-partnership path, with strong mentorship and client contact.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in complex trademark and copyright litigation, including trial-level work
Provide counseling on strategy, enforcement, risk management, and media law compliance
Assist in investigating, prosecuting, and defending advertising, marketing, and unfair competition claims
Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery responses, and manage trial preparation
Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to develop case strategies and ensure seamless representation

Key requirements

JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
Active California Bar admission in good standing
2+ years of substantive experience in trademark & copyright counseling and litigation, trademark clearance, prosecution strategy, and portfolio management
Experience with trademark and copyright ownership, licensing, and fair use in transactions
Strong analytical and legal writing skills; excellent advocacy and research/problem-solving abilities
Prior AmLaw 100 experience preferred
