In this role, you will spearhead automated testing for a complex molecular diagnostics platform in a regulated healthcare setting. You work closely with product and development teams to embed quality from the start and build maintainable automation frameworks. Your efforts ensure reliable, scalable software and robust CI/CD pipelines that support fast, safe diagnostic results. This position combines software engineering with test engineering to bridge requirements and implementation, in a highly technical, robotics‑enabled environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automated test strategies for a complex molecular diagnostics system
Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to translate requirements into executable specs (e.g., Cucumber)
Build and maintain test frameworks and environments using Selenium, Appium, SpecFlow or similar tools
Integrate and evaluate robotics solutions and test procedures with laboratory devices
Manage requirements and test cases using ALM tools (Codebeamer) and ensure traceability
Contribute to CI/CD processes within GitHub and Azure DevOps
Perform end-to-end validation from barcode to PCR result
Support compliance activities and documentation per ISO 13485 and medical device standards
Mentor manual QA testers and promote ownership of unit/integration tests

Key requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, or comparable qualification
Min. 3 years of relevant experience
Strong software development background and clean coding practices
Automation & BDD expert with experience in Selenium; knowledge of Cucumber or SpecFlow favored
Experience with ALM tools, ideally Codebeamer
DevOps/CI-CD proficiency (GitHub, Azure DevOps)
Analytical ability to understand complex diagnostic systems
Bonus: Rust knowledge; robotics integration and SiLA familiarity
