In this role you will drive technology planning, coordination, and delivery for the Harborview Bond Program. You’ll partner with ITS and external teams to align IT work with construction and clinical modernization priorities. You’ll manage complex, high-visibility initiatives with operational impact, ensuring solid documentation and risk-aware execution. This is a mission-driven opportunity to help modernize infrastructure and deliver value across UW Medicine's IT landscape. You will work in a cross-functional, enterprise context with meaningful scope and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-scale IT initiatives from planning through delivery
  • Coordinate across multiple domains (Network, Security, Data Center, Applications, Facilities, Clin Eng, IT Governance and external partners)
  • Translate Bond priorities and construction timelines into IT requirements and risk considerations
  • Ensure governance, reporting, and architectural alignment with Bond and ITS standards
  • Maintain thorough documentation including requirements, design artifacts, testing plans, and readiness deliverables
  • Manage high-visibility, time-sensitive issues with patient safety and operational impact
  • Foster cross-organizational collaboration and stakeholder engagement across diverse cultures and structures
  • Ensure solutions are future-proof, sustainable, and aligned with modernization goals

Key requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in strategic planning and enterprise IT delivery
  • Proven success leading enterprise-scale technical initiatives lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, ITIL methodologies
  • Knowledge of healthcare clinical and administrative systems
  • Ability to apply financial concepts (TCO, ROI)
  • BA best practices (IIBA BABOK)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Hands-on experience planning, coordinating, and executing complex infra/application activities
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in process improvement and governance alignment
