In this Technical Recruiter role, you will source and close top engineering talent for Gauntlet’s crypto-focused teams, partnering with engineering leaders to scale specialized profiles. You’ll design diverse pipelines, optimize interview processes, and harness on-chain and crypto community signals to attract elite candidates. You’ll operate in a remote-first, high-ownership culture that values rigor and depth, helping Gauntlet sustain growth while maintaining its risk-aware, research-driven identity. This role offers a meaningful impact on building the economic backbone of major crypto networks.

Responsibilities

Own sourcing, outreach, screening, interviews, and closing for technical roles (e.g., quantitative developers, protocol researchers, full-stack developers)
Build and maintain diverse, high-quality pipelines across multiple functions
Drive an exceptional candidate experience from first touch to offer acceptance
Leverage on-chain reputation tools, GitHub activity, DAO contributions, Crypto Twitter/Farcaster/Discord communities, open source communities, hackathons, L2 ecosystems and crypto-specific hiring channels
Work directly with engineering leadership & hiring managers to understand hiring needs
Maintain structured hiring pipelines, interview scorecards, and ATS hygiene
Implement structured evaluation frameworks aligned with Gauntlet's standards
Proactively suggest improvements to hiring processes, outreach copy, interview structure, and branding across technical roles

Key requirements

5+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles, ideally in crypto, protocol development, or deep-tech environments
Proven ability to hire senior engineers, quant researchers, or other highly specialized profiles
Understanding of core crypto concepts, especially DeFi
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical products and value propositions
Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and build relationships with stakeholders
