As Team Lead Data Scientist, you drive value through predictive modelling and AI using data from thousands of robots and cloud systems. You guide the Data Science & AI team across multiple business areas to build automated, data-driven farm solutions. You will shape the Data & AI strategy, oversee multi-disciplinary projects, and foster growth and adoption of AI within the organization. This role offers impact at scale in a family-owned, innovation-driven company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Data Science & AI team within Data & AI
  • Contribute to the integrated product roadmap with cross-functional input
  • Share multi-disciplinary ownership as part of Product Development Leadership and Data & AI MT
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate with the data science partner
  • Elevate technical and soft skills to increase impact across business teams
  • Define the Data & AI infrastructure direction with Data Engineering
  • Drive AI knowledge growth inside and outside the Data & AI Competence
  • Shape Data Science & AI strategy: investments, technologies, feasibility, and procurement decisions

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of Data Science & AI and ML experience in industry
  • Hands-on experience with DS & AI tools and architecture (Python, Databricks)
  • Quantitative Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Proven leadership experience and HR responsibility
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • Ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term results
  • Experience with Azure, Databricks (preferred) and production-scale genAI/agentic AI applications (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to judge feasibility and guide technical choices
