Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for financial services clients, including hedge funds and venture capital firms
Provide tax consulting and compliance services while staying current with tax laws
Assist in developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize liabilities and improve financial performance
Collaborate with client management to gather information and understand unique tax situations
Research and analyze tax issues, offering guidance to clients and team members
Monitor tax law changes and assess implications for financial services clients
Mentor and train junior staff on tax compliance and accounting practices

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in financial services
Strong understanding of tax regulations affecting hedge funds and venture capital
CPA certification is a plus, but not required
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
