In this Principal Systems Engineer role, you will design and deliver rugged, secure embedded processing solutions for DoD platforms, aligning with Mercury’s mission to boost warfighter capabilities. You’ll join a multi-disciplinary Systems Engineering team within Processing Technology, shaping technology across multiple lines of business. You’ll collaborate to implement robust protections against reverse engineering and unauthorized access while driving system security engineering across programs. Responsibilities

Design, integrate, verify, and deliver rugged, secure embedded products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Line of Business Chief Engineers
Develop and validate secure/anti-tamper processing solutions
Apply system engineering principles across requirements, design, and verification
address protections against reverse engineering, unauthorized access, and exploitation
contribute within a matrix organization and multi-disciplined team

Key requirements

Bachelor in Science or higher in STEM
6+ years in Systems Engineering
Experience in system engineering principles (requirements, design, verification)
Experience in System Security Engineering (SSE) and embedded security
Experience in real-time embedded security solutions for DoD platforms
Experience with Anti-Tamper technologies, secure boot, and encryption
Experience with Cyber Security and/or Key Management plans
Vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, risk analysis
U.S. citizen with active DoD Secret clearance
Ability to travel up to 15%
