As Principal Systems Engineer, you will shape rugged, secure embedded solutions for defense platforms. You’ll work in a multi-disciplinary team to design, integrate, verify, and deliver secure processing technologies. The role emphasizes defense-grade security, anti-tamper protections, and DoD-focused embedded systems. You’ll collaborate across functions to meet customers’ mission needs and influence multiple product lines.

Responsibilities

Design, integrate, verify, and deliver rugged, secure embedded products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple business lines
Develop and implement protections against reverse engineering and unauthorized access
Apply system engineering principles (requirements, design, verification)
Work on anti-tamper technologies including secure boot and encryption
Support cyber security planning, key management, and risk assessment
Engage with stakeholders including engineers, program management, and leadership to meet customer needs

Key requirements

6+ years in Systems Engineering
Experience with System Security Engineering (SSE) and embedded security for DoD platforms
Experience designing or testing real-time embedded security solutions for DoD
Experience with anti-tamper technologies (hardware/software protections, secure boot, encryption)
Experience with cyber security and key management plans
Vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and risk analysis
U.S. citizen with active DoD Secret clearance required before start
