As a Systems Engineer, you will shape technical solutions for cyber and Information Assurance initiatives. You work across the full systems engineering lifecycle to support multi-disciplinary product development and deliver end-to-end capabilities. You will collaborate with hardware, software, FPGA, and mechanical teams to meet time, cost, and performance objectives while ensuring end-user needs are addressed. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge secure technologies and opportunities to influence project bids and technical documentation.

Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to systems engineering activities across cyber and IA development programmes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated solutions
- Define, manage, and maintain system requirements across engineering disciplines
- Support lifecycle from concept through development, integration, and verification
- Work with project leadership to ensure delivery against time, cost, quality, and performance
- Provide technical input into bid and proposal activities
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure solutions meet end-user needs
- Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation
- Ensure alignment across all technical areas
Key requirements
- Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle (requirements, design, integration, V&V)
- Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering environments with expertise in at least one area (e.g., software, electronics, FPGA)
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or similar)
- Ability to apply system-level thinking to complex technical challenges
- Familiarity with systems modelling approaches (e.g., UML, SysML, use cases, trade studies)
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)
