As a System Application Engineer, you will lead programming and commissioning of building automation systems, collaborating with customers and partners to deliver tailored controls solutions. You’ll work on multiple BAS platforms, troubleshoot and optimize performance, and contribute to project start-up and training. This role emphasizes independent execution within a team that aligns with Schneider Electric’s IMPACT values and sustainability goals. You’ll drive technical excellence on mid-to-large projects and help shape customer outcomes.

Responsibilities
- programming, start-up, troubleshooting and commissioning of DDC BAS
- configuring and customizing control systems for project requirements
- creating software programs and front-end graphics
- commissioning on projects and diagnostics to ensure full system functionality
- analyzing issues and implementing performance enhancements
- coordinating customer training and closeout documents
- providing technical support to end-users and team members
- lead programmer role on medium to large projects
- collaborating with 3rd parties (TAB, IT engineers, commissioning agents, equipment vendors) for project delivery
- ensuring submittals and drawings align with project requirements
Key requirements
- 2-4 years in a similar role
- ability to take lead programmer role on medium to large projects
- independent work with 3rd parties
- IP networking basics and BAS LAN configuration
- proficiency with BACnet, Modbus, and LON networks
- experience with Tridium Niagara, Schneider EcoStruxure Building Operation, Siemens Building Automation, or Johnson Controls systems
- clear and concise communication with customers, contractors, engineers, and team members
