Experteer Overview
In this role you design, monitor, and optimize enterprise IT systems to ensure high availability of networked software and operating platforms. You will install and manage deployment platforms (e.g., Citrix XenApp, SCCM) supporting production, reporting, DR, and non-production needs. You’ll monitor performance, apply upgrades, and collaborate with IT, security, and Epic teams to implement effective controls. This position focuses on capacity planning, incident resolution, and ensuring resilient IT services across the organization, including disaster recovery and on-call coverage.
Responsibilities
- Assist with enterprise systems design, technical project leadership, and capacity planning
- Install and manage application deployment platforms for production, reporting, and non-production needs
- Install and maintain admin and monitoring tools for high availability and performance of Epic and other systems
- Monitor performance metrics, diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Configure and troubleshoot integrated third-party software and peripherals (document management, voice recognition, scanning, faxing)
- Manage logins and access environments
- Engage in capacity planning to ensure adequate resources
- Collaborate with technical teams and Epic to provide proactive support
- Maintain and configure Citrix and VMware servers with automation scripts and Active Directory Group Policy
- Design, install, and configure antivirus, backup/recovery, web filtering, network printing, mobile devices, Exchange, e-mail filtering, monitoring tools, and related infrastructure apps
- Participate in change control for planned activities
- Maintain and test business continuity processes
- Continuing learning and adapting to new technologies
- Excel at organization, planning, problem solving, and communications
- Show proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and experience with virtualization/performance tools
- Possess knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, AD, DHCP, DNS, FTP/SCP, HTTP) and scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, SQL)
- Experience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS) a plus
- Support system performance tuning and disaster recovery planning
- Local travel between SSHEC sites and on-call coverage as assigned
Key requirements
- Experience with application deployment platforms (Citrix XenApp, SCCM)
- Strong knowledge of virtualization (Citrix, VMware) and AD/GPO
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, VBScript, SQL)
- Familiarity with Epic systems and integration
- Capacity planning and performance monitoring
- Disaster recovery planning and business continuity
- Change control and incident management
- Excellent written and verbal communication
