Experteer Overview

In this role you own the AIT (assembly, integration, and verification) activities for space projects, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams and ensuring OHB processes are followed. You shape early-phase AIT concepts, oversee documentation and test definitions, and support reviews and data governance. You will work closely with the AIT manager to ensure coherence across engineering and verification, contributing to successful mission readiness. This position offers hands-on leadership, exposure to high-tech space programs, and opportunities to mentor colleagues while travelling as needed.

Responsibilities

Technical coordination of an assigned AIT project team
Define AIT flow, ground support equipment and facility concept in the early phase
Standardize and update AIT documentation and plans
Ensure ground support equipment suitability and integration and test definitions across disciplines
Control coherency of documents and test setups across interfaces
Prepare and participate in test reviews (IRR/TRR, PTR) in coordination with AIT Manager
Organize results data review and approvals
Define and manage AIT tools usage for the project
Support AIT manager with planning activities
Training, guidance and mentoring of employees
Handle additional activities according to knowledge and skills

Key requirements

Completed engineering studies in a relevant area or equivalent qualification
Long-time experience in space and technical competence across relevant areas
Strong communication, problem solving, flexibility and resilience
Technical leadership of multiple employees
Planning with foresight, cost and schedule awareness, risk management
Willingness for travelling, shift work, on-call duties and campaigns
