In this executive role, you drive enterprise growth for inpatient rehabilitation hospitals through de novo builds, joint ventures, and acquisitions. You’ll lead national growth strategy, market analysis, and partner engagement while aligning to clinical priorities and financial goals. You will influence expansion across markets and report to the CFO, shaping development pipelines and capital allocation. This position combines strategic vision with hands-on deal execution in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You will partner with cross-functional teams to accelerate post-acute care access and strengthen referral networks.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead the national growth strategy for IRF expansion via de novo projects, joint ventures, and acquisitions
Oversee site selection, timelines, budgets, regulatory compliance, and risk management for new IRF builds
Source and structure joint venture agreements; negotiate term sheets and coordinate with legal for execution
Identify and evaluate acquisition targets; lead due diligence, valuation modeling, and integration planning
Advise the CFO and executive team; prepare board-level business cases and lead a development team

Key requirements

Bachelor in Business, Healthcare Administration, Real Estate Development, or related field
Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) strongly preferred
10–15 years of progressive healthcare development experience, with IRF or post-acute focus
Proven track record in de novo development and joint venture formation
Experience in healthcare real estate, market analysis, project management, and regulatory navigation
Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Deep understanding of CON, reimbursement models, and inpatient rehab compliance standards
