In this role you ensure supplier quality for battery energy storage systems across the full equipment lifecycle. You collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and construction teams to select and audit suppliers, review ITPs, and witness FATs, while supporting installation and commissioning of critical electrical equipment. You focus on preventing quality issues at the source and drive timely corrective actions with vendors. This position offers significant impact on giga-scale storage projects and grid-safe operations in a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities

Drive supplier selection, evaluation and qualification per company QA processes
Support ISO 9001 compliance through defining and documenting QA processes
Conduct supplier process audits of manufacturing controls and QA systems
Maintain Audit Planning and Reporting documentation
Update supplier quality database (Documents Control)
Manage supplier-related quality issues with root-cause analysis and corrective actions
Review/approve QA documentation (ITPs, FAT procedures, control plans)
Participate in FATs at OEMs and verify results meet criteria
Log, track and resolve non-conformances (NCRs) with vendors
Review supplier material traceability, certificates, and inspection reports
Collaborate to qualify new vendors and support onboarding
Provide supplier performance feedback and contribute to quality metrics
Maintain traceable quality documentation for each project
Support development of QA standards, templates, and best practices
Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes to ensure regulatory and technical compliance

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience)
3-7 years in supplier or product quality engineering (energy or manufacturing)
Hands-on experience with electrical power systems or BESS components
Experience with supplier process audits (VDA 6.3 or similar)
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality tools (8D, SPC, PFMEA, control plans, FAI/PPAP)
Familiarity with IEEE 1547, UL 9540/9540A, IEC, NEC
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
