Responsibilities

Lead field operations and supervise foremen and multiple labor crews
Plan, schedule, and coordinate all on-site work to meet project goals
Ensure productive use of materials and equipment and enforce safety standards
Oversee installation of utility-related work (sewer, watermain, etc.) to high-quality standards
Coordinate with inspectors, private utility stakeholders, and other parties on bid items and field execution
Procure and manage materials with procurement and shop teams
Coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources to meet contractual performance
Prioritize tasks and manage on-site priorities to keep work moving efficiently

Key requirements

Thorough understanding of utility work, sewer and watermain construction
Familiarity with SOE methods and dewatering techniques
Experience coordinating private utility work (e.g., Con Ed, CET items)
Knowledge of manhole inspections and exploratory test pits
Ability to review bid items with inspectors and confirm quantities
Experience with mark-out/utility survey layouts for foremen and crews
Ability to order, receive, and track materials with procurement
Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination skills
Proven leadership of field teams and productivity management
