In this role, you will lead a global community of Study Leaders from the Barcelona hub to drive high-quality, compliant clinical trials. You’ll mentor leaders, standardize ways of working, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate study delivery. You guide planning, remove obstacles, and ensure timely results within regulatory expectations. This position offers the opportunity to scale best practices, develop talent, and make a measurable impact on patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead a community of Study Leaders to foster collaboration and shared learning across end-to-end study activities
Oversee execution of a diverse clinical study portfolio by trial type within the community
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in trial operations to boost efficiency and quality
Coach and develop Study Leaders to enhance capabilities and therapeutic understanding
Optimize resource allocation in partnership with SSO leadership based on workload and priorities
Ensure robust risk management, inspection readiness, and adherence to global standards and regulations
Build strong cross-functional partnerships with global teams and vendors to support study execution

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or clinically relevant discipline; advanced degree preferred
At least eight years’ experience in clinical research or drug development across Phases I–IV
Minimum five years delivering medium to highly complex global studies in a matrix environment
At least five years’ people leadership experience across multiple countries
Extensive experience in planning, executing, and reporting clinical studies in a global/matrix pharma or CRO setting; knowledge of ICH GCP and regulatory authorities (FDA/EMA)
