As a Strategic Growth Manager at Compass, you will drive net-new revenue by attracting top-producing agents to our platform through a compelling value proposition (technology, marketing, culture, growth). You will work in person with agents, meeting decision-makers to understand their needs and demonstrate how Compass supports their business. This role combines field sales with strategic relationship management to fuel market expansion. You’ll join a high-performing, diverse team and contribute to Compass’s mission of empowering agents to serve buyers and sellers exceptionally. This is a quota-bearing, client-facing role with significant impact on growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with top-producing agents and agent teams to drive adoption of Compass
  • Articulate and sell the Compass value proposition (technology, marketing, culture, growth) to decision-makers
  • Lead in-person client meetings and presentations, guiding agents through the decision to join Compass
  • Meet quarterly quota based on Gross Commission Income (GCI) from agents/teams you bring on
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support agent onboarding and ongoing success
  • Navigate negotiations with independent contractors and decouple them from prior brokerages with patience and empathy
  • Travel and conduct field meetings to maximize in-person engagement and revenue opportunities

Key requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a glass-half-full mentality
  • Self-starter with sound judgment and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to lead client meetings
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proven track record across strategic, operational, and detail-driven responsibilities
