In this role you drive growth by expanding the Department of War account base through strategic, consultative selling to senior DoW leaders. You will collaborate with executives and research teams to articulate Forrester’s value and navigate complex sales cycles. You rely on curiosity, urgency, and data-driven insights to meet quotas and forecast opportunities. This role offers meaningful impact in defense-focused advisory, with opportunities to shape client outcomes and contribute to a trusted, cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and close new business prospects within a defined geography or vertical.
- Sell primarily to senior stakeholders, including military leaders and program directors.
- Maintain weekly/daily metrics and achieve quota.
- Produce accurate, timely forecasts.
- Develop a deep understanding of Forrester's product offerings.
- Understand evolving business and technology issues faced by potential clients.
- Collaborate with vertical and horizontal research teams to shape the value proposition for prospects.
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not essential)
- Minimum of twelve years of relevant/consultative sales experience
- Experience selling business services to C-level professionals in a competitive market
- Ability and willingness to cold call and book meetings
- Proven track record in new-business development, quota achievement, and managing personal sales strategy
- Effective presentation, organization, and time management skills
- Team player mindset
- Fast-learning and comfortable with technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
