In this role you provide statistical support across discovery, development, and product defense in Veterinary Medicine R&D. You identify and implement innovative design and analysis approaches for clinical and laboratory trials, and translate statistical literature into practical methods for animal health programs. You collaborate with cross-functional teams and help train scientists in experimental design, contributing to a collaborative, rigor-driven department. You will influence trial strategies and maintain high standards of scientific integrity and client-focused results.

Responsibilities

Provide statistical support across discovery, development, and product defense in Veterinary Medicine R&D
Identify and implement innovative design and analysis approaches for clinical and laboratory trials
Review statistical literature for practical implementation in animal health programs
Participate on project teams and act as liaison between Statistics and other departmental groups
Assist in training scientists in experimental design and related topics

Key requirements

MS in Biostatistics/Statistics with 3+ years in pharmaceutical industry
PhD in Biostatistics/Statistics (preferred)
Knowledge of data handling and statistical analysis programming in PC-SAS
Knowledge of experimental design, mixed linear and non-linear models, and categorical data analysis
Excellent oral and written communication and statistical consulting skills
Ability to review scientific publications critically
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Team-oriented with integrity and customer focus
Ability to learn domain knowledge quickly and apply appropriate statistical approaches
Ability to work in ambiguous situations and influence others
Ability to develop training programs and mentor others
