In this role, you drive architectural vision to deliver enterprise features for Auth0’s SaaS customers. You’ll shape scalable, secure distributed systems and mentor engineers, collaborating with product managers and designers to define new capabilities. The work centers on improving login flows, self-service management, and cross-team initiatives at scale. You’ll operate in a customer-driven, highly collaborative environment that values learning and impact. Responsibilities
- Define and drive architectural vision for enterprise features in the login flow and self-service management
- Identify and implement strategic technical improvements across codebase and architecture
- Lead major technical projects across teams and align with product goals
- Mentor engineers on sound engineering practices and technical leadership
- Serve as subject matter expert on scalable, reliable, and maintainable distributed systems
- Collaborate with Product Manager and Product Designer to shape look, feel, and functionality of new features
- Incorporate customer feedback to improve product experiences
Key requirements
- Strong architectural and security knowledge for designing complex distributed systems
- Experience collaborating with external teams and driving cross-team success
- Effective mentorship and clear communication to bring teams along
- Solid experience with Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript) for scalable backend services and API development
- Frontend and full-stack experience, with SPA, React, and CSS understanding
- Good understanding of SQL databases and performance optimization under load
- Experience with Docker and cloud environments (AWS and Azure preferred); Kubernetes experience is a plus
- Proven ability to operate services at scale with observability tools and mechanisms
- Nice-to-have knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, Apache Kafka, Terraform, and security engineering
