As Senior Systems Engineer, you will own the technical product scope for a cross‑functional team, ensuring delivery of features, performance, and stakeholder requirements within cost and schedule targets. You will work with development partners across the globe to transition products from R&D to production, balancing prototyping, testing, and risk management. You’ll craft system architectures, manage interfaces, and guide R&D initiatives to meet program goals, all while communicating progress to senior leadership. This role offers a hands‑on, impact‑driven path in a high‑volume beverage product environment.

Responsibilities
- Translate consumer and stakeholder needs into product requirements and decompose them into subsystems
- Create system architectures delivering features and functionality
- Cascade subsystem requirements to platform owners and manage interfaces
- Identify and charter R&D efforts for new innovations and engage external partners
- Assist with learning plan development and prioritization for schedule decisions
- Assist with risk analysis, mitigation, and validation planning
- Lead engineering development using systematic tools (LAMDA/DAMAIC or similar)
- Make data-driven decisions using Six Sigma toolbox and coach others
- Hands-on prototyping and testing during development
- Communicate development progress to senior leadership
- Support organizational continuous improvement projects
Key requirements
- MS or BS in Engineering with 10+ years of engineering experience in high-volume consumer product development (minimum BS)
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
- Experience with statistical software tools (JMP, Minitab, or R)
- Expert 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks preferred)
- Understanding of systems modeling and finite element methods
- Broad engineering knowledge with deep focus in one or more disciplines
- Experience leading DFMEA activities and creating validation plans
- Proven track record building prototypes, test fixtures, and running experiments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in person at Burlington, MA at least 3 days/week
- 10–20% international travel every two weeks
