In this role you will drive user-centric product design for consumer electronics, pairing UX research with iterative design to shape elegant workflows. You will work closely with product, executives, and design teams to prioritize the roadmap and ensure cohesive experiences across features. You’ll guide research, prototyping, and usability testing from concept to launch, integrating insights into agile development. This role offers a chance to influence how users interact with complex devices and to help scale a user-focused product vision.

Responsibilities

Translate customer insights into best-in-class user experiences
Lead ideation and iteration with sketches, wireframes, and prototypes
Design elegant solutions for complex workflows
Collaborate with product management and leadership to shape the roadmap
Communicate end-to-end scenarios and interaction models to stakeholders
Maintain design coherence with visuals and assist UX researchers as needed
Contribute to all lifecycle stages: research, competitive analysis, validation, usability testing, launch
Integrate UX research and design within an agile development process

Key requirements

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS preferred
4+ years in consumer electronics product development
Experience with high-volume, cosmetic electronics enclosure materials and manufacturing
Experience integrating electromechanical modules (audio, display, battery, antenna, PCBs, etc.)
Strong 3D CAD skills (ProE preferred) including parametric modelling and surface generation
Product validation experience (UL, FCC, environmental testing)
Hands-on prototyping experience
Demonstrated project leadership and mentoring
