In this role you assess risk to the Health System’s information security by engineering and managing vulnerability assessment systems. You support and maintain security infrastructure and participate in planning and implementing secure network architecture for Hyper Converged Infrastructure. You lead incident response and forensic investigations, reporting findings to the CISO, and ensure security controls meet established standards. A CISSP within one year reinforces your expertise as you collaborate with IT and business units to improve risk posture.

Responsibilities

Engineer/implement vulnerability assessment systems and manage security infrastructure
Ensure availability and integrity of security/networking components
Assess and document Health System vulnerability to cyber threats
Maintain an accurate inventory of network devices
Conduct forensic investigations at request of HR/Legal/Compliance or CISO
Plan, install, and maintain IT security systems with IT staff and business units
Define security requirements and assess compliance with standards
Develop and execute strategies to respond to and recover from security breaches
Lead incident response activities during breaches and perform technical/forensic investigations
Report findings to the CISO

Key requirements

CISSP certification required within 1 year from date of hire
Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Information Sciences or Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
5 years in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications
7 years experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering
7 years experience with planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
7 years experience with risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods
Experience communicating security issues to peers and management
