In this role you enable the transition of designs from development to production, ensuring smooth manufacturing transfer and regulatory testing. You will act as a subject matter expert for mid- to low-complexity electrical designs and support multiple programs concurrently. You work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve design-to-manufacturing processes. This position offers hands-on PCB design, debugging, and mentoring within a growing aerospace engineering environment.

Responsibilities

PCBA design and BOM management, configuration control, hardware bring-up, and issue tracking
Design of multilayer PCBs with high-speed, wireless, MCU/MPU, power management, and serial interfaces
Product verification, test development, and scripting for data collection
Mentor engineers and collaborate with CAD specialists and technicians
Transfer design files into manufacturing and support regulatory testing
Become SME for manufacturing on mid- to low-level electrical designs
Lead or support multiple programs and provide team leadership as needed
Adhere to ISO/AS9100/9001/14000 processes and participate in internal audits

Key requirements

BS in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering
ECAD experience for schematic capture and layout, preferably Altium Designer
Strong communication and team orientation
Experience supporting production electrical designs and obsolescence management
Troubleshooting production issues with existing docs, test fixtures, and scripts
Experience evaluating new products for electrical engineering purposes
C/C++, Python, Linux, Bash, Arduino, Raspberry Pi for troubleshooting
Ability to lead electrical engineering projects and manage multiple programs
Working knowledge of quality and regulatory processes (ISO/AS9100, ISO/9001, AS9100)
