As Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems for critical industrial infrastructure. You will work within a cross-functional team to integrate automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to boost performance and reduce costs. You will guide projects from concept through execution, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and mentor junior engineers. This role offers impact across pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities with opportunities to shape technology and installation standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution for critical infrastructure
- Champion integration of automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage
- Provide expertise in electrical schematics, system layouts, and power distribution for new and existing facilities
- Manage complex projects from concept to completion within timelines and budget
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs
- Mentor and develop junior engineers to foster growth and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET) or Bachelor’s in Engineering Technology (ABET) with PE license; 8+ years in natural gas, data centers, or related industry
- Strong knowledge of power system design, analysis, and simulation tools
- Experience with high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, switchgear
- Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems
- Procurement experience and vendor/supplier relationships
- FAT commissioning, testing, and startup experience (preferred)
- Experience with PLCs and HMI (preferred)
- Familiarity with electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE)
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
