Senior Engineer responsible for leading large, long-duration projects in automated production equipment and process controls. You will design, troubleshoot, and implement electrical systems, PLC/HMI solutions, and control software while coordinating cross-functional teams. You’ll mentor peers, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safe, efficient operations aligned with our quality-focused manufacturing mission. This role offers scope to shape complex automation across Dart’s packaging platforms and collaborate with production and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage large-scale projects and programs
Lead cross-functional engineering teams (engineers, technicians, drafters)
Troubleshoot and implement electrical and software controls for machines and processes
Design and modify electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic, HMI, and control software
Oversee equipment testing, debugging, and installation
Capture requirements, draft reports, and coordinate with production
Develop test parameters and support deployment of solutions
Establish continuous improvement plans for quality, safety, and efficiency
Mentor other engineers

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree with engineering emphasis or six years of related experience, OR Associate’s degree with twelve years of related experience
Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex control systems (PLC ladder logic, HMI, control software)
Strong 5S experience
Advanced knowledge of engineering science, design techniques, and production of precision technical plans
Strong math skills (arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics)
Ability to prioritize and manage large, complex projects with limited supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
