As a Senior Developer Advocate on AWS’s Developer Experience team in Italy, you will shape how developers adopt AI-powered tools and modern workflows. You’ll bridge developers and AWS product teams, gathering real-world feedback to influence roadmaps. You’ll create Italian and English technical content and run talks, workshops, and live coding sessions. You will build a vibrant Italian developer community and help professionals and students harness AI in cloud-native development. This is a mission-driven role at the intersection of innovation, education, and practical software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical initiatives showcasing modern software development practices and AI integration on AWS
- Create and deliver technical content in Italian and English through talks, workshops, live coding, and written media
- Build and nurture the Italian developer community, engaging professionals and students
- Develop and share best practices for building modern AI-powered applications
- Influence product roadmaps by incorporating Italian developer feedback
- Produce regional content including code samples, architecture patterns, blogs and implementation guides
- Engage with open source communities and maintain regional presence in developer networks
- Collaborate with local partners, educational institutions, and open source orgs to grow developers in Italy
Key requirements
- 5 years of software development experience in professional environments
- Native-level Italian language skills and fluent English
- Willingness to travel within Europe
- Experience with modern development tools and practices
